			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="dropcap-first">Liposuction is a plastic surgery intervention to remove localized fat. It uses cannulas (small pipes) that are inserted in the targeted areas and suck the fat out of the body. Although it is one of the most requested surgeries, it is not a cosmetic procedure designed for weight loss, but aims to remove the fat that couldn&#8217;t be removed before through diet and exercise.</p>
<p>Traditional liposuction, which is being known and used for at least 30 years, received several technological surgery innovations, becoming safer and less aggressive. One of such <a href="http://newliposuction.net/5-new-liposuction-techniques-you-may-not-know/">new liposuction procedures</a> is &#8220;Smartlipo&#8221;, or Laser Liposuction. The technique of  Smartlipo uses the Laserlipolysis technique, which removes excess fat through a laser beam, that warms the adipocytes (fat cells), dissipates them and turns them into a viscous liquid. The liquid is then absorbed by the body or can be removed with another low power, more gentle, cannula.</p>
<p>The laser liposuction is less aggressive than the traditional &#8220;lipo&#8221;. The used cannulas are just 0,5 to 1 mm in diameter. Traditional liposuction can also damage blood vessels and other structures apart from fat; that&#8217;s why massive bleeding is always present during the process and total anesthesia is required. The laser, instead, is programmed to destroy only the fat cells and causes no damage to other structures. And again, this <a href="http://newliposuction.net">new liposuction</a> technique decreases to 30% swelling, pain and inflammation caused by common liposuction so the patient may have a faster recovery. The laser has also the advantage of being a light that can be seen through the skin, helping the surgeon to target the fat more precisely</p>
<p>This type of new liposuction is most recommended for small areas like arms, chin, face, armpits and neck. In addition, anesthesia, which is always a major concern, is not general but local.</p>
<p>However, despite having several advantages, Smartlipo is a surgery like any other and it also has disadvantages such as that the laser can burn the skin or that the patient will feel pain a few days after surgery. Also, cauterizing of blood vessels can result in skin necrosis.</p>
<p>Always remember that before undergoing any cosmetic surgery you should seek a specialist so you can have an answer to all your questions and find out which is the best method to adopt.</p>

Millions of people worldwide, but especially in North America, suffer from health problems as a result of being overweight or obese. Because of this widespread and rapidly increasing problem, medical workers are constantly developing new ways of helping their patients to lose weight and maintain healthy and active lifestyles.</p>
<p>One of weight loss’ newest innovations, which is not yet approved worldwide, but which is proving to be an effective strategy for jump starting a weight loss or diet regimen, is the gastric balloon. A <a href="http://www.dietplan123.com/gastric-balloon/">gastric balloon</a> is essentially a silicone balloon that is filled with air and inserted into the stomach, in order to put pressure on the stomach membrane and fool it into a sensation of being full. The ultimate goal of the gastric balloon is to help individuals reduce the amount of food that they consume in any given sitting, thereby reducing the amount of calories that their body can absorb. This process can be the impetus for learning and practicing healthier eating patterns so that, once the balloon is removed and the appetite returns to normal, habits and patterns will have already been established, and as such are more likely to be adhered to.</p>
<p>The gastric balloon is but one of many proven procedures that can be done to help kick start a weight loss program. It stands out from other procedures for a number of reasons however, including its fast rate of recovery time, its minimal invasiveness when compared to other procedures, and the fact that the procedure is not irreversible once completed.</p>
<p>If you visit many weight loss surgeons, they will likely discuss a number of options for how to proceed. One surgical procedure that receives a great deal of attention in the media is gastric bypass surgery, whereby the stomach is surgically made smaller (to encourage the consumption of smaller portions of food and discourage overeating,) and the food that is consumed bypasses a portion of the smaller intestine, where most of the calories would be absorbed by the body.</p>
<p>The principle difference between the insertion of a gastric balloon and the administration of gastric bypass surgery is that the former is a non-surgical procedure. The balloon, in its deflated state, is inserted into the stomach by way of the mouth. Once it has reached the stomach, it is inflated to a certain degree (generally between 400 and 800 milliliters.) The balloon is replaced once every three months until the process is complete.</p>
<p>Although in clinical studies of gastric balloons, a minimal number of subjects showed stomach ulcers and superficial erosions, the risks of gastric bypass surgery are far greater in comparison. Consider the multiple gastric bypass complications that could occur, simply based on the fact that the surgical process requires incisions, which take time to heal, and which will always run the risk of infection. In addition, there is the risk of leakage from the bypassing of the lower intestine, the possibility of developing anemia from lack of essential nutrients, and a large percentage of patients will develop gall or kidney stones as a side effect of the procedure.</p>
<p>Gastric bypass surgery is also a permanent procedure, which can only be undone or altered by way of one or more additional surgeries. Because of the stress inflicted upon the body, recovery time is typically between three and five weeks, and eating and drinking habits will have to be immediately and drastically altered following the completion of the procedure.</p>
<p>Although a reasonable option for dangerously obese individuals, gastric bypass surgery cannot be done without considerable health risks. For individuals that struggle with their weight and their eating habits, and who are looking for a means of developing a healthier lifestyle and losing unhealthy pounds, the gastric balloon is an excellent, and non-invasive procedure that, with the exception of spasms and nausea from twenty-four to forty-eight hours after the initial procedure, will not interfere with their everyday lives.</p>

<p>No wonder obesity has become a hot seller. Many of the 58 million are desperately trying to lose weight. The most logical approach is to change your eating habit and obesity should disappear. Right?</p>
<p>You would think so, but the main reason why this hasn&#8217;t been working is that changing eating habit doesn&#8217;t deal with how to handle the emotions that are involved.</p>
<p>The truth is that those suffering from obesity (aside from those with a thyroid problem) don&#8217;t have an eating problem or a weight problem. They have a weight symptom or and eating symptom. Just as a sneeze is a symptom, the eating behavior or extra weight is a symptom. Actually the problem they have is with emotions. From childhood they&#8217;ve associated food with pleasurable and unpleasurable emotions. Little wonder then when they feel happy they eat. Or when they feel upset or frustrated  the eat. Eating is a conditioned behavior to many emotions. Trying to control food as a habit is like putting a square peg into a round hole&#8211;just impracticable.  It&#8217;s impossible to lose weight</p>
<p>It&#8217;s important to learn to manage emotions. Now here is an important distinction for one might say, &#8220;It&#8217;s important to control emotions.&#8221; The word &#8220;control&#8221; gives the sentence a whole different meaning. Managing is flowing with emotions, whereas when you attempt to control emotions it&#8217;s actually giving power to them over oneself. That is to say, what you try to control actually controls you.</p>
<p>In the 1960&#8217;s a lot of research was done with EEG biofeedback to see if by controlling certain brain waves, emotions could be controlled. The science never went beyond observing the brain waves associated with various emotions. It was ironic that some people while they were angry experienced the same brain waves as someone else who was happy. Ultimately, it was learned that it&#8217;s impractical to control emotions by changing brain waves&#8211;something the Sufi&#8217;s of the East have known for centuries.</p>
<p>From a more Eastern Zen approach it&#8217;s more appropriate to embrace emotions rather than control them. Learn to acknowledge them. There&#8217;s a challenge in itself as most of us from childhood have been taught to ignore them or pretend that they don&#8217;t affect us in an attempt to reduce their affect.</p>
<p>By embracing emotions and experiencing them, they no longer dictate eating behavior and <a href="http://www.dietplan123.com/emotional-eating-2/">emotional eating</a> can be conquered.</p>
<p>A progressive approach to <a href="http://www.dietplan123.com/natural-way-to-lose-weight/">losing weight</a> involves asking important questions &#8220;What is missing here? Why are you not getting the results you&#8217;ve been promised from the experts and books you&#8217;ve been reading?&#8221; It is clearly insane to keep attempting to change your eating habit when the results are so poor. It&#8217;s more important to gain a grasp on conquering <a href="http://www.dietplan123.com/emotional-eating/">emotional eating</a> than it is to read the scale. Besides focusing on the scale doesn&#8217;t empower you to be a better more enlightened person, whereas learning about how to handle emotional eating empowers you in all aspects of your life. If you&#8217;re a beautician,  you&#8217;ll be a better beautician. If you&#8217;re a supervisor, you&#8217;ll be a better supervisor. Overall, you&#8217;ll build self worth and find that what you really want to eat is far more nutritious and less in quantity than you ever before imagined possible.</p>

Afterward, the result is a feeling of guilt, or that you have ‘blown it’ – and, sure, the intake of that many calories at a time is disastrous to weight loss.</p>
<p>Though, many experts have commented that dieting or restricting food intake can truly trigger binging for those who have that tendency by now. It’s almost as though the restriction of food makes us feel so depressed that we respond by binging, and the guild that follows a binge can derail the diet for an even longer time that essential. A lot of of us would give anything to be able to control the impulse to binge – eliminating it altogether would be ideal, actually. In this way, we would really be able to control food intake and lose weight.</p>
<p>The majority of individuals look upon binging as a ‘problem’ behavior – an expression of some sort of distress, or even a type of neurotic behavior to be cured. After all, this type of eating is extreme – during a binge, people consume many times their ideal calorie intake for the day, and there seems no way to prevent weight gain if this becomes a habit. Though, there is also evidence that indicates binging may just be a fact of life for all humans, a leftover from the way in which we obtained our food early on in human development. Think about it. Before agriculture came on the scene and regulated the food supply throughout the year, humans spent many millennia as hunters and gatherers. In actual fact, we should all remember that this pre-civilized, hunting and gathering existence went on for much longer than civilization had. Humans have practiced agriculture for little more than six thousand years, but humans (or advanced pre-humans) have been around for about 35 thousand years. So for the vast majority of human history, we were hunters and gatherers, and in that state, believe it or not, binging was a very good idea.</p>
<p>Consider it. This was before refrigeration or any other prearranged means of food preservation. Persons moved around constantly, and sometimes food was plentiful, while other times it was scarce. When food was in short supply, there was no way to get more. Humans just had to do without, or survive on very little. That meant that when a hunt was winning, or when the early humans stumbled upon a grove or fruit trees, binging was the most logical, well-adapted response. The food was there at that moment, and who knew when it would be there again? So the early humans would have eaten as much of it as was humanly possible – in short, they binged. They had to. It had to keep them going until the next fortunate find.</p>
<p>Our bodily drives are stronger and more primitive than what our minds tell us. So, while we might comprehend, intellectually, that binging is not a fine plan and that we should eat a pre-approved number of calories per day, the urge to binge is still as strong in us as it was in early humans. The difference, certainly, is that our food environment is not self-limiting – there are no natural limits. We have access to almost all types of food at all times, unlike early humans. So, though our environment doesn’t necessitate binging, the behavioral drive is still strong.</p>
<p>That also explains why dieting can bring on a binge. A diet is like a period of scarcity or famine – in nature, this makes us want to binge, to make up for it, as soon as food becomes available. And the more you restrict your eating, the stronger your impulse to binge will be, as for early humans (physiologically identical to us) that was good survival actions. That’s why the behavior is so hard to overcome – at one point, it was not just acceptable – it was required to human survival.</p>
