That being said, there are some things that all of us can do to make our chosen diet plans more successful. <p>The 10 diet hacks presented here may not be enough by themselves to get you all the way to your goal weight, but they are a great start to a new slimmer, more confident and healthier you. Follow suggestion #3 and phase them in gradually. By adding one of these hacks every few days you can slowly transition to a better way of eating and of viewing food. HOW do you eat less and exercise more?  How do you change your diet habits?</p>
<p>The following ten steps will give you the motivation and the tools necessary to make a positive impact on your lifestyle and help you lose weight easily and effectively.</p>
<p>1. <strong>Plan Ahead:</strong> You need to plan so you know what to do now and what you&#8217;re going to do going forward. Without a plan even the best diet and exercise program can get derailed when you run into adversity. <a href="http://www.shapeup.org/atmstd/kitchen/page0.php" target="_blank">You should know what kind of diet you are going to use to lose weight</a>. Low carb, low fat and low calorie diets all work well, which path will you be following? Each of us will lose weight differently on different diets. This may be the time to seek the help of the professionals with a diet plan to determine what will work best for your goals and personality.</p>
<p>2. <strong>Learn how to Grocery Shop:</strong> Grocery shopping goes hand in hand with planning ahead. You need to know what choices you are going to make BEFORE you get to the grocery store. Problem solving means you find the real problem that is keeping you from reaching your goals. Choose one of the strategies and evaluate how successful it is in helping you solve the problem. If necessary change to a different strategy, but make sure you are working on overcoming the problem daily.</p>
<p>It is important to recognize that not all strategies will be successful. Various strategies can be created to ultimately identify and correct a problem. Also remember that just because something works for one problem, does not mean it will work for every problem. Seek out the best solution for each problem you face. Long hours at work, social settings, traveling for business, etc.; each present different challenges to your weight loss efforts, and will require unique strategies. Be creative.</p>

You can use this to your advantage by getting a group of friends and/or family members together on a plan and working towards a goal. It helps to keep you more accountable and can also help because of the peer pressure or competitive nature of people. And the support of friends and family can be just the little extra you need when trying to break through a barrier or plateau to the next level.</p>
<p>8. <strong>Train like you mean it:</strong> Don&#8217;t simply go through the motions when you&#8217;re in the gym. Make this time count! By training hard you&#8217;ll not only burn more calories right now, but you&#8217;ll also boost your metabolism to burn more calories later. You want to keep your rest between sets to 60 seconds or less and you shouldn&#8217;t be spending more than 60 minutes in the gym. Train hard and get out! <p>9. <strong>Learn to Read Food Labels:</strong> This goes hand in hand with rule #2, learning to grocery shop. For example, the nutrition information shows the nutrients based on each serving. It also helps in finding the proper proportions of macro nutrients which is very important in most diet plans.</p>
<p>10. <strong>Eat Breakfast:</strong> I&#8217;m sure you&#8217;ve heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and if you haven&#8217;t then I&#8217;m telling you now. Don&#8217;t skip breakfast. Not only has research shown that those who eat breakfast regularly consume higher levels of many nutrients, but it has also shown time and time again that those who eat breakfast daily have lower body fat levels and body weights. Breakfast gets your body started, gives you energy and charges up your metabolism. It is also the best time of the day to eat carbohydrates when you&#8217;re on a low <a href="http://www.dietplan123.com/top-things-to-know-about-low-carb-diets-that-work/">carb diet</a> because the carbs will provide your body with energy throughout the day. It&#8217;s not good to skip any meal, but breakfast is the worst meal of all to skip.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="dropcap-first">There is more to weight loss than just diet.  Exercise plays a huge part in your success or failure when trying to lose weight.  Exercise is important for several reasons.  It gets your metabolism revved up and helps you burn more calories not only during the exercise, but for many hours afterward.  It helps to build lean muscle which also burns more calories naturally.  And finally it helps to give your body a better shape which is motivating in itself and often helps keep you focused on your weight loss goal.</p>
<p>But when just beginning many people are confused <a href="http://www.weightlossforall.com/" target="_blank">what kind of exercise they should do</a>.  Do I need to lift heavy weights?  Should I join a gym?  How much is enough?  These are all common and easily answered questions.</p>
<p>Basically when you are beginning exercise as part of a weight loss and diet plan you should do whatever is comfortable for you.  For many people this is something as simple as walking several times a week.  Nothing complex about that and it fulfills the primary requirement at this stage which is simply to get your body moving and get it used to doing some form of exercise.  That&#8217;s it, just get your body moving.</p>
<p>There are a lot of simple ways to doing this.  Walking has already been mentioned, but what about everyday things like taking the stairs instead of elevators.  Park your car at the back of the parking lot.  Get out and actively play with your children or grandchildren.  Leave the car at home for short trips to the store or visiting friends.  All of these are easy and can actually be fun if you approach them that way.  And best of all your body will start to adapt and become more active itself, it will actually look forward to activities that involve moving.</p>
<p>Once you&#8217;ve started moving you can begin to consider a more planned approach to training.  There are basically three types of exercise you&#8217;ll want to eventually include in your training.  These are aerobic exercise, resistance exercise and flexibility exercise.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/fitness/MY00396/DSECTION=aerobic-exercise" target="_blank">Aerobic exercise</a> gets the heart working to pump blood through the heart more quickly and with more force than normal. As blood is pumped faster, it must be oxygenated more quickly, which quickens respiration. Aerobic exercise strengthens the heart, increases metabolism, increases fat burning and boosts healthy cholesterol levels. Low impact aerobics include walking and swimming. Running, tennis and dance are high impact aerobics.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/fitness/MY00396/DSECTION=stretching-and-flexibility" target="_blank">Flexibility exercise</a> in its simplest form stretches and elongates muscles. Disciplines which incorporate stretching with breath control and meditation include yoga and t&#8217;ai chi. Greater flexibility will improve other exercise performance by giving you a greater range and freedom of motion.  It can also help in your everyday life when you need to stretch for something far away, step over something and will improve your balance.  The benefits of greater flexibility may go beyond the physical to the improvement of stress reduction and the promotion of a greater sense of well-being.</p>

This is not very specific on purpose because we all should tailor our personal <a href="http://www.dietplan123.com/weight-loss-program/">weight loss program</a> to meet our specific needs, taste, health, physical activity level and lifestyle. We do not have to be confined to one programmed diet or eating habit. But for success in <a href="http://www.dietplan123.com/natural-way-to-lose-weight/">losing weight</a> and just being healthy I would suggest you follow these simple easy tips in your diet.</p>
<p>Avoid Sugar.</p>
<p>Sugar, artificial sweeteners, high fructose corn syrup, or any sugar substitute by any name can be detrimental to your health and <a href="http://www.dietplan123.com/healthy-weight-loss-2/">healthy weight loss</a> program. Natural sugars found in fresh fruit and vegetables are good for you and provide all the energy our body requires. The problem is that we eat far too many unnatural and processed foods, that we sweeten. We are used to eating processed sugar and therefore our body craves it like any drug we would be addicted to. Avoid sugar and its substitutes like the addictive drug that they are. They will destroy your body and are the main reason for obesity, cancer, heart disease, diabetes and countless diseases in our society today. <p>We need to eat whole grains, fresh fruit and vegetables, nuts, beans and natural herbs and spices. We must avoid the many processed foods we eat regularly like white rice, white pasta, white bread, processed meats, processed<br />
(pasteurized) dairy, processed fish, can foods, etc.</p>

But, we were made to eat a diet of primarily fruit and vegetables, whole grains, nuts and beans with natural herbs and spices as our preventive medicines. Make lean meat and fish no more than 10% of your daily calories. With 70% of the food you eat fruit and vegetables and the balance whole grains, nuts and beans. You will be healthy, lose weight and keep it off.</p>
