High carbohydrate, low carbohydrate, no carbohydrate or high protein, low protein, it seems as if everyone has their own idea of a way to sell you their newest healthy diet.</p>
<p>A factor that is more important than weight gain or loss is having a healthy lifestyle. A part of any <a href="http://www.dietplan123.com/eat-healthy-and-be-healthy/">healthy lifestyle</a> is having a good and healthy diet. Part of that healthy diet is keeping everything in balance. Diet and exercise must be in balance or you will either gain or lose weight. You should also work to balance your portions of protein, dairy, vegetables, fruits and grains.</p>
<p>Water is necessary for life. Without water, scientists say there is no possibility for life on other planets. Many of us seem to forget the importance of water in our daily lives. We may shower or wash our hands, but do we drink enough water? We are told that we should have eight glasses every day. Still, many of us substitute a soda or even a beer when we are thirsty. Most of the nutrients our body needs from our food are water-soluble. We can never be properly nourished without plenty of plain water.</p>
<p>Balance those calories each day. Weight gain is caused by consuming too many. This weight gain can lead to more weight gain since it often hinders exercise and causes depression. If you do not eat enough calories, you loose weight, along with muscle and energy. Malnutrition is a danger if your diet is too low in calories.</p>
<p>Do not forget fresh foods. The fresh foods include fruits or vegetables. Vegetables add texture for our palate as well as fiber to the system. Fruit is a natural sweet, but its calories are also offset by fiber. These are both great for snack time.</p>
<p>Get the correct amount of protein. Protein is necessary for the body to rebuild muscles that are stretched daily. Protein is often loaded with fats. Learn the correct size of a serving of protein. Many restaurants have sold us on a serving being as much as 1 pound or even 1 1/2 pounds of steak, when 3 ounces is the correct serving size. While many of us enjoy protein, a balanced diet reminds us to eat in moderation.</p>
<p>Watch your fat intake. Your body does need healthy fats, but not all of those unhealthy fats that have become a normal part of the American diet. Nuts as well as olive oil include the correct fats your body needs. French fries and burgers do not. A low fat diet that does include the healthy fats will lead to a healthy lifestyle.</p>
<p>Changing diet is not the only requirement for healthy living but it may be a step that will help to get you on your way.</p>

<p>When one has to face dozens of fast food restaurants it makes eating healthy a real problem. People also like to throw excuses as to why they can&#8217;t eat better such as it is not very accessible or they just don&#8217;t know what to get or how to make it. However, you are bound to find just as many stores selling fresh healthy foods as fast food restaurants. </p>
<p>The rate at which obesity in children is rising is more shocking than that in adults. But what is the root to this problem. One cannot really blame the children as they learn from their parents. Children are more likely to eat unhealthy foods if their parents do. </p>
<p>A longer life, vitality, happiness, weight loss and overall health are advantages of eating healthy food. When you <a href="http://www.dietplan123.com/eat-healthy-on-the-run/">eat healthy</a> products your body becomes better equipped to fight diseases and so you live a longer life. You also become happier as good healthy foods serve as a natural anti-depressant. </p>

<p>Mornings are really a great time to eat your healthiest. Because breakfast is so important making it healthy is vital. For a healthy choice, try a smoothie. It has loads of nutrients and taste great. Another great option is yogurt, preferably low fat and unsweetened. Plain yogurt mixed with fruit you have sliced up, works just as well. Also, try eggs and some whole wheat bread or a bran muffin for a more substantial breakfast. Cut oat fatty, greasy breakfast by having cereal and oatmeal. </p>
<p>For the rest of the day eat meals that contain a good amount of starch as it is packed with energy. This includes foods such as bread, cereal, rice, potatoes and pasta, but don&#8217;t eat too much though. Eat enough just for energy. </p>
<p>You should also try to eat as much fruits and vegetables as possible throughout the day. One should at least pack in 5 portions. Avoid eating a lot of meats; rather choose fish as a healthy alternative. Stay away from a lot of fatty and processed foods but do not cut it out completely. Lastly, drink loads of water.</p>
